An EOT crane is one of the commonest cranes used in the material handling equipment industry. It is the type of industry where heavy-duty operations are common and cranes are used often. The cranes are used to lower and lift loads as well as move heavy loads from one place to another during daily operations inside the industrial units. With different kinds of industries putting EOTs to good use, the manufacturing companies are offering various customization and configurable options to choose from. Some of the commonest features of good quality cranes are lesser maintenance, increased longevity, and robust design. EOT cranes that are specially made for heavy material handling equipment industry are ideal choices to make when it is a question of investing in one. Uses of double girder and single girder cranes
There are two types of an EOT crane or Electric Overhead Traveling crane that you can get at any reputed crane manufacturer – the single girder crane and the double girder crane. Single girder, as the name suggests, have a single main bridge. They are comparatively lighter in structure as compared to the double girder ones. There’s an electrically managed hoist, main bridge, and beams at the end. As compared to a single girder crane and a gantry crane, a double girder crane is cost effective. However, these cranes are ideal for heavier lifts and movements inside a material handling equipment industry. These are sturdier as there are two main bridges. For a heavy-duty industry, these have a better utility than single girders. Double girders are also aesthetically better of the two. The third variety of EOT At Ambica Engineering we manufacture the third type of EOTs – the underslung EOT cranes. However, these are not for heavy-duty operations and are apt for light material handling requirements. These cranes can be installed if you are eager to save space and cost for moving lighter equipment pieces and machinery across the industry.
